Fall and Halloween

Livvy had so much fun trick-or-treating last night! She was Cinderella and she kept spinning around and saying, "Look mom dancing". She is really obsessed with princesses. I would love to put pictures up of Livvy and Violet in their Halloween costumes although sometime during trick-or-treating last night we lost our camera. I'm sure it was the best Halloween for some lucky person when they stumbled across it. I guess I'm just glad that the only pictures that I hadn't downloaded yet were the ones of that night. I would have been devastated if I hadn't took Violet's hospital pictures off it yet. I learned my lesson last time that Jaron's camera was stolen with all of our Hawaii honeymoon pictures on them (honesty who leaves a camera on a beach in Mexico? Jaron does). Anyway, these are the fun fall things we have been up too. It really has been gorgeous here. I love the fall! I never really knew what the fall looked like until I moved here. We had a fun family home evening this last week too. We carved a pumpkin and frosted cookies. Although our cookies didn't turn out as cute as the family's did on the Pillsbury commercial, we still had the sentimental moments.

Can I Move Back to AZ Now!

I didn't think I could ever kill an animal in my life until tonight when I had a complete hatred for it. This disgusting rat has been living in our house for the last couple of weeks. The day after I saw it I called the exterminator which cost $130 for them to put some rat poison around and use a flashlight. I was irritated that that is all they did but if it would get rid of it fine. He told us it would be gone in a week or less. No, totally still here. So tonight Jaron and his friend Jared were studying and Jared said, "I think a rat just ran under your refrigerator". At this point I completely despised the rat and I was determined for it to die tonight. We scared it out of the fridge and Jaron got it trapped between the broom and the wall. I instantly grabbed the dust pan and started jabbing it as hard as I could with the sharp tip. I was actually a little scared at myself for thoroughly enjoying that this rat was dieing. I think I might of been taking out my frustration from spending $130 for someone to put a bag of $5 rat poison around my kitchen. I am definitely calling them tomorrow and demanding my money back.

Oh Newborns Are Fun...

Wow I really could not believe what happened! My sister is staying with us this week and we decided to go to the children's museum yesterday. Right before we left I decided I better change Violet. I opened her diaper and it was just a little wet. Then from out of nowhere she starts squirting poop all over me. It really just kept coming and what do you do? I'm not going to try to block it with my hand. I just looked down and was like what the freak just happened?! I have been worried to have a boy because I don't want to get peed on but I think Violet just made me over come my fear of that. I would much rather have been peed on. When we finally got to the museum it was really cute. Livvy didn't really want to go any where else except the grocery store room. That got kind of old after an hour and a half of putting grocery's away every time Livvy wanted to get a new cart. But it was fun and Livvy had a blast.

Livvy Fashion 101

Livvy has been so much fun to dress up since she got glasses! It's like she has her own little style and I love it. She reminds me of all the people which I've always secretly would love to dress like but could never pull it off. Maybe I'll just live my fashion life vicariously through her. Oh and the picture of her and Me cracks me up because this is our conversation before I took it.

Me: Livvy, Can Mommy and Livvy take a picture together?
Livvy: No Mom, I watch Dora
Me: Livs who do you love more Dora or Mommy?
Livvy: Dora
Me: Livvy that makes Mommy sad, Mommy is crying (with a sad pouting face for extra sympathy)
Livvy: Move Mom Dora
Me: Livvy can I take a picture of us please?
Livvy: (No response just leans as far away form me as possible so I had to move closer to her to take the picture)

I can feel the mother daughter bond forming.

Livvy has Glasses!

I took Livvy in to the Ophthalmologist to figure out why her eye was crossing in. Her doctor is trying to fix the problem with giving her a heavy prescription in glasses to correct the problem. Hopefully she will only have to wear them when she is a kid and it will correct when she gets older. When I went to get glasses for her I was ready to cry at looking at the glasses that fit her face. They were really Harry Potter glasses that hooked around her ears. I couldn't tell decide what would be more nerdy a crossed in eye or dorky frames. I finally found some that looked decent and when I put them on her she looked so cute. It does make me sad because she looks so much older in them. I was a little worried that she wouldn't keep them on but since she got them she hasn't taken them off. I'm pretty sure with how strong the prescription is she is just amazed at how good she can see.
Violet is doing good. She is chunking up so fast. She was 6 lbs 5 oz when she was born and when I took her in to her 2 week old appointment she weighed 8 lbs 12 oz. She eats every two hours on the dot and does not spit up a bit of it. She's been really fun though and we love her so much. Livvy always wants to hold and kiss her. Even though when she hugs she squeezes a little too hard (intentionally) and once her kiss left a tooth mark and a very sad cry from Violet.

More Pictures

Violet is almost two weeks old and it was so great to have my mom stay with me for the first 10 days. I'm on my second day by myself and I've never missed my mom more. I don't think I'm ever going to be able to sleep again. If she wasn't so cute I'd want to take her back.
